Despite the fact that our previous versions used Internet Explorer very successfully, we decided to create a thin client for OCTOPUS6 to make it even more flexible. The application still runs on the server side and all updates are completed in one central location.
Thanks to scalability and modularity, OCTOPUS6 can be used in any newsroom, no matter the size. The system is designed to run natively on any major operating system, be it Linux, Mac OS X or Windows. Customers can choose the platform that suits theirs needs best.
OCTOPUS6 is an open architecture newsroom solution. It can be integrated with many third party systems and devices through support of MOS and CII protocols.
