OCTOPUS Newsroom was founded in 1998 and the development of OCTOPUS Newsroom Computer System started in the summer of the same year. In August 1999 the first version was installed at TV Nova, Czech Republic, and OCTOPUS was officially introduced to the world market at IBC in Amsterdam. Since that time we have been developing and improving our main product, OCTOPUS Newsroom Computer System which has gained in popularity and recognition worldwide along with our increased market share. At the moment we have over 50 satisfied customers around over the world. We have successfully installed our systems for broadcasters such as Al Jazeera English - Worldwide, Euronews in France and Headlines Today in India.

As OCTOPUS Newsroom system has grown from a local, Central European system to world renowned newsroom solution, the demand for development and support has grown as well. As a result, the company was split into two companies in 2002:
