For the very first time a 24/7 news channel is about to launch in Bangladesh. CSB NEWS will launch on Bangladeshi independence day, March 26, and it chose OCTOPUS5.2 to operate their nearly 200 staff facility in Dhaka. A famous Slovak channel, TV JOJ, has after 5 years updated their OCTOPUS BOX system to the latest version of OCTOPUS5. OCTOPUS update is a part of larger innovation in JOJ and in the final stage, it will integrate with Autoscript Prompter, Avid AirSpeed playout, Avid NewsCutter NLE and Vizrt Trio Graphics.
GEO TV was been using OCTOPUS3 to operate their two broadcasting facilities in Karachi and Dubai for four and a half years. In February 2007, GEO TV has successfully updated to OCTOPUS5.2. OCTOPUS in GEO integrates with Aveco Astra Automation, Autoscript Prompter, Vizrt Content Pilot realtime graphics and Vizrt Ticker3D. Transfer Agent is used to move stories between distant locations. OCTOPUS Video Twister, controlled by Aveco is used with Apple Final Cut Pro NLE to generate proxies.
