CT Brno substituted its existing newsroom computer system to OCTOPUS5 and started broadcasting and creating their news with the solution of OCTOPUS Newsroom Company. Brno, as the last studio of Czech TV, decided to change their newsroom system to OCTOPUS5 to complete equipping its regional studios in the country.
The installation in CT Brno was already the fourth installation in Czech TV. The previous ones were in regional infotainment TVs with studios in Prague and Ostrava and inCT24 which is 24/7 news channel. OCTOPUS5 is ready to serve up to 30 users in studio Brno and it is a powerful but easy-to-use tool that lets journalist stay on top of technology. Using transfer feature, wires and stories is now shared among three headquarters in Prague, Ostrava and Brno.

ISOFT company with its automation systems joined the group of Octopus partners. Both systems communicate via MOS protocol. The integrated solution was used at ESGroup in Ukraine. ISOFT is specialised in software engineering, founded to develop new technologies and solutions in various sectors and is specially experienced in broadcasting.
Forming a partnership between Octopus Newsroom and Gee Broadcast Systems, was an endeavour to bring users more option in the field of video severvs, especially Octopus and Geevs video servers that enable customers to maximise their programming capability by running broadcast operations more efficiently and cost-effectively. Both solutions come together in an integrated solution, implementing the industry standard MOS protocol.
Serbian 24/7 news channel B92 is using the OCTOPUS newsroom system, delivering reliable operation since going online in April. OCTOPUS is B92’s first newsroom system. It can be accessed by reporters, producers and others from any computer in B92’s facility. Easy access to the news department’s rundown from all B92 departments has improved efficiency and workflow. With implementation in February 2008 Octopus gave users enough time to get familiar with the system and workflow used in their operations. They praised Octopus for its stability and performance.
