OCTOPUS Newsroom presented its next generation newsroom computer system, OCTOPUS6, along with the OCTOPUS FCP plug-in at NAB2009 in Las Vegas. The OCTOPUS stand gave broadcasters a closer look at all the new features, functions and improvements as well as to demonstrate integration possibilities with its current and potential partners.
In spite of the overall attendance being lower at this year's NAB2009 show, OCTOPUS Newsroom enjoyed much interest and popularity among the visitors. OCTOPUS6, the latest version of the newsroom computer system, generated a lot of interest from broadcasters planning new projects, as well as from current customers keen to upgrade from the previous version OCTOPUS5. Thanks to the multi-platform nature of OCTOPUS6 and the availability of the OCTOPUS Final Cut Pro plug-in, many MacOS and Linux users visited the stand and gave a great deal of positive feedback.
OCTOPUS Newsroom organised a well attended pre-NAB global dealers' meeting. The venue was the Marriott Inn in Las Vegas which offered a relaxed working atmosphere for the meeting with current and potential dealers of OCTOPUS software from Europe, South and North America. Corporate presentations covering technical, sales, support and product details were presented and subsequently discussed by the attendees. Due to the positive feedback, OCTOPUS Newsroom's next dealers' meeting is scheduled before IBC2009 in Amsterdam.
