The OCTOPUS6 FCP plug-in gives full access to all OCTOPUS stories, regardless of whether they are already in a rundown or saved to story pool folder. The script can not only be viewed here for recording voiceovers, but also modified.
OCTOPUS Final Cut access to raw footage
All video clips available in OCTOPUS are viewable and searchable within the OCTOPUS6 FCP plug-in. Integration with many media servers is achieved using the industry standard MOS protocol.OCTOPUS Final Cut delivery of final package
After final editing, the rendered clip is saved to a placeholder via the OCTOPUS6 FCP plug-in. The drop folder concept allows virtually any MOS enabled automation system and video server to be a part of the OCTOPUS workflow.Automation
When the clip is rendered and saved, the automation system links it with an OCTOPUS clip placeholder which may already be included in the rundown. The placeholder in OCTOPUS is updated with the actual duration of the clip and a lowres copy is generated by OCTOPUS Video Twister. The rundown producers can now browse the edited package and rundown timing is up to date.
