Is your 24/7 support operational?
Yes, more than ever. We understand that these are critical times for our customers, people watch much more news bulletins than at other times and our customers work under much bigger pressure. Therefore we do our part the best we can and we make sure our support teams are providing all the help our customers may need, no matter what the circumstances are.
Are you still able to provide the same quality of services as always?
Yes, Octopus Newsroom is fully operational. Even though almost our entire team is working from home, we are working with the same pace and commitment as always. Feel free to call or email us, we will get back to you shortly.
Is Octopus X accessible for users working remotely?
Absolutely. Octopus X is a client-server application whereas clients are launched from a web browser and they communicate with the server using the https protocol. Your server may be hosted locally or in a data center and users are connecting using the same app no matter where they are - be it the newsroom, home or elsewhere in the field.
Do you have any mobile app for users in the field?
Octopus X offers a very comprehensive app for both iOS and Android devices. This app allows users to access and edit the rundowns, draft stories from the field, send media, access all the incoming feeds and much more.
Are you able to provide product demos and help with proof of concepts remotely?
Yes, just like the support team, the sales, marketing and training departments are working 100% as well. What’s really great is that thanks to all our cancelled travel arrangements, we can set up online product presentations or project meetings practically any day in the upcoming weeks.
Are you able to roll out installations remotely while traveling is impossible?
We have just done that! We have successfully implemented an Octopus X system in South America in early March. That included complete remote installation, remote integration, remote training and even on-air coaching. Obviously we have installed several other systems remotely in the past, but this project was already directly influenced by the current Covid-19 travel bans and we had to do it remotely. The project was successfully completed and we are ready for the next implementation that is just about to start in early April.
