Four cities, four days and seven technology partners: this November, Octopus Newsroom is joining LOGIC roadtrip 2026 for a journey through Germany focused on the future of software-based media production.
From 2–5 November 2026, the roadtrip will stop in Munich, Leipzig, Cologne and Mainz, bringing broadcast technology directly to customers and industry professionals at four different locations.
Representing Octopus throughout the roadtrip will be our COO & Sales Director, Gabriel Jankó.
Four cities, one connected workflow
The idea behind LOGIC roadtrip 2026 is simple: rather than presenting individual technologies in isolation, seven technology partners will come together around one shared topic – Software Based Media Production.
Each partner represents a different part of a common broadcast workflow, creating a connected view of how modern production environments can work together from end to end.
Alongside Citeloop, Dalet, Grass Valley, Matrox, Sony and Telestream, Octopus will represent the newsroom systemwithin this technology ecosystem.
The roadtrip will visit:
2 November – Munich (Mace)
3 November – Leipzig (MDR)
4 November – Cologne (RTL)
5 November – Mainz (ZDF)
The audience at each stop will include CTOs, Technical Directors, Broadcast Engineers and Procurement professionals, with the format designed to allow both technical discussion and direct conversations between attendees and participating technology partners.
Beyond the product pitch
LOGIC roadtrip is designed to go deeper than a series of traditional vendor presentations.
Each stop follows a shared three-part format: introducing the companies and their role within the concept, taking a deeper technical look at how each technology contributes to the overall solution, and looking ahead at where the industry is going next.
For Octopus, that means exploring the role of the newsroom within a wider software-based media environment – and how newsroom technology connects with production, media management, ingest, monitoring and other parts of the broadcast infrastructure.
Gabriel will share where Octopus Newsroom fits into this ecosystem today, what we are developing next and how we see the role of newsroom technology evolving as broadcast moves further towards software-based production.
