We’re proud to welcome Rustavi 2, one of Georgia’s most influential broadcasters, to the Octopus Newsroom ecosystem. This collaboration marks a powerful step as the station modernizes its editorial workflows and sets sail toward a more agile, multi-platform future.

Based in Tbilisi, just next door to the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), Rustavi 2 shares deep ties with the country’s public media landscape—many of the same engineering minds navigate both channels. While GPB opted for a different newsroom system several years ago, Rustavi 2 found a more adaptable and future-ready solution in Octopus NRCS.

Integration with In-House Graphics

One of the key challenges was integrating Octopus with Rustavi 2’s in-house graphics system, powered by Orad. Rising to meet this, their development team built a custom MOS gateway—a crucial piece that ensures smooth communication between systems and keeps their production flow uninterrupted.

The Octopus deployment

Now fully integrated, Rustavi 2 benefits from the intuitive, story-centric workflows that Octopus is known for—designed to help journalists move fast, stay focused, and publish with confidence across any platform.

The deployment includes:

  • All-inclusive Concurrent User Licenses, offering access to the robust Octopus Desktop client
  • A seamless connection to their evolving MOS graphics interface,
  • flexible, scalable system designed to grow and adapt with them.

A Future-Proof Newsroom

We’re thrilled to be part of Rustavi 2’s newsroom evolution—supporting them in delivering accurate, high-impact journalism with the speed and fluidity today’s audiences expect. Like any good octopus, we adapt to your current—and help you chart what’s next.
